Lauren Ruggles

I am an avid reader who is passionate about books and helping authors get their stories out into the world. I enjoy working my way through a manuscript, making it the best version of itself and polishing things up a bit.

I graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of San Diego and have been formally editing for the past seven years. I have also just recently earned my certificate in copyediting through the University of Chicago and am actively becoming a master of the Chicago Manual of Style. My goals are to meet more potential clients (YOU!) and to create positive and beneficial relationships with other authors and editors.

I am very detail-orientated and I take my time with the text, really diving into it and being meticulous. I love the formation of words on the written page and feel that I have a good knack for not only noticing grammatical issues and sentence structure but ensuring the flow of the overall story and the use of different vocabulary.
